Week 4: Forgiveness

Through forgiveness, you grow closer to God and others and bring peace to your life.

Sunday: On the Sunday of the Steward, read Luke 16:1-13.  We are ultimately responsible to God for every aspect of our lives, everything we think, do, or say.

Monday: Read about love and forgiveness in Colossians 3:12-17.  In the reading, Paul offers a strategy to help us live for God day by day.  His strategy includes imitating Christ's merciful forgiving attitude, letting love guide your life, having the peace of Christ reign your heart, always being thankful, keeping God's Word in you at all times, and living as Jesus Christ's representative.

Tuesday: Think about a time when someone forgave you.  What did you learn about forgiveness form that incident?

Wednesday: Ask for God's forgiveness for something that you did recently.  Only God is perfect.  Keep your weaknesses in mind as you strive to resist temptation and forgive others.

Thursday: Ask someone you have hurt to forgive you.

Friday: Forgive someone who has hurt you.  The key to forgiving others is to remember how much God has forgiven you.  Is it difficult for you to forgive someone who wronged you a little when God has forgiven you so much?  Realizing God's infinite love and forgiveness can help you love and forgive others.

Saturday: Think about the martyrs throughout the history of the Armenian Church.  Who were they?  What does it mean to be a martyr?
