The text is from the Sharagnots - from the Canon dedicated to King Durtad. But it should be noted that this modern setting does stray from the text in the Sharagnots. The reference in this setting to Durtad is Teotos in the Sharagnots. Also, in this modern setting there is a reference to Queen Ashken; there is no such reference for this in the Sharagnots. These changes are modern popular changes to make the text more user friendly for use during weddings - the name Durtad is more familiar to us, and adding the name of the queen to the name of the king makes the sharagan custom fit for singing during an Armenian wedding ceremony.
