Diocesan Staff Spotlight: Maral Serce

If you’ve ever phoned or visited the Diocese of the Armenian Church (Eastern), chances are your first contact was with Maral Serce, the receptionist at the Diocesan Complex. Maral has been at the Diocese switchboard for 12 years. She immigrated to the U.S. from Beirut, Lebanon, in 1981. In addition to answering phones and greeting visitors with a smile, Maral works with the facilities department and St. Vartan Cathedral administration typing contracts and schedules. Maral commutes to Manhattan from Astoria, N.Y., where she lives with her mother Jacqueline and daughter Tamar, who attends St. Joseph's College in Brooklyn, N.Y.
