40-year Anniversary

The Primate traveled to the St. Kevork Church, Houston, Texas, February 6 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Fr. Mesrob Benlian's priestly ordination with the parish.

Florida Celebrates Past Stewards, Looks to the Future

On December 12 Archbishop Khajag Barsamian joined more than 100 parishioners at St. Mary of Hollywood, Fla., to celebrate the parish’s sixth anniversary together with parish priest Fr.Vartan Joulfayan.

Honored during the Divine Liturgy were James and Shocky Pilafian, who are the surviving founding members of the original St. John the Baptist Church and on the building committee of St. Mary Church. During the badarak, the Primate also ordained Ryan Patino, 14, as a tbir.

Milwaukee Celebrates History of Success

The people of Resurrection Church of South Milwaukee, Wis., turned out in large numbers on October 24 when Archbishop Khajag Barsamian traveled to South Milwaukee to celebrate the church’s 80th anniversary with parishioners.

During a banquet following badarak, Diocesan Council member Oscar Tatosian spoke about his memories of the church and its rich history that began in 1910, when five Armenians traveled to South Milwaukee to work in its factories and shortly thereafter beckoned their Armenian brothers and sisters to join them.
