Memories of the Genocide
My father Alexander Hachigian and my aunts Sarah Hachigian and Elizabeth came to America from a refugee camp after living the Musa Dagh/Ler story.
My father was forever grateful to this wonderful country for taking him into its fold. How proud we his children, Gloria, Allan and Carol are of him and all our family members who became Americans citizens as fast as they could. Never did they lose their love for the mother country and their wonderful mountainside Bityas. Life, although difficult, was in many ways ideal.
We could learn much from the old ways today. Honor, respect, decency were the primary attributes of our old relatives. My goal is to live my life in such as way as to honor them. How we love and miss them, each and every one.
