Diocesan Organizations

The Diocese works cooperatively with a variety of Armenian organizations to enhance spiritual growth with the Diocese and preserve the heritage and culture of all Armenians.

Armenian Church Youth Organization of America (ACYOA)

The Armenian Church Youth Organization of America (ACYOA) is the national youth program of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America and was created on January 12, 1946 in Providence, Rhode Island.

The Diocesan-wide national organization, created for the youth of the Armenian Church, emerged from the foundation of the then, many local Junior Leagues and clubs that were formed for the young people of the parishes of the Armenian Church.

The mission of the ACYOA is to create among the young adult generation a greater sense of spiritual culture and tradition and to instill within its members a true spirit of civic mindedness.  The purpose and role of the ACYOA, in the context of the Diocese of the Armenian Church, is of vital importance, as it is charged with preparing and equipping young adults to participate in leadership capacities.

Women's Guild Central Council

The Women's Guild Central Council was established in 1986.  Its mission is to live the Christian faith according to the teachings of the Bible, doctrines, traditions and heritage of the Armenian Church.  The Parish Guilds and the Central Council sponsor many national and international projects including Women Saints Day, the Annual Women's Guild Assembly, fund-raising events (such as the ongoing "Ornaments as Keepsakes"), the Children of Armenia Sponsorship Program (CASP) which benefits orphans and needy children in Armenia, and the Schoolbag Project for Armenian children which provides much needed encouragement to school-age children in Armenia and includes book bags filled with children's Armenian Bibles and basic school supplies.

Association of Armenian Church Choirs of America

The Association of Armenian Church Choirs of America strives to support and enhance the liturgical tradition of Armenian music.  It provides printed music and vocal education to Armenian choirs across the United States and serves as a resource for choir directors and choir members.  It also sponsors workshops and other special musical events throughout the year.
