Mother's Day
It's that special time of year when we pay tribute to our mothers. Here are two different ideas for you to encourage your students to honor that important woman in their lives.
Preparation, secrecy, and wide participation may be the keys to excitement surrounding your parish's observance of Mother's Day this year. The objective is to mass produce Mother's Day cards from an original that incorporates the sayings of the children. These will be distributed to mothers on the special day. St. Nersess the Great
Saints’ days are never celebrated on Sundays so they often pass unnoticed by our Sunday Schools. The Educator (and before it The DRE Bulletin) often highlights these days with information and activities. Use these at Assemblies and in the classroom so that students have a complete picture of our celebrations and of the special people we honor and emulate.

Coloring Book: St. Gregory
Here are some coloring book pages related with St. Gregory’s Deliverance From the Pit. The pages are from How Armenia Became the First Christian Nation, illustrated by the wonderful artist Siran Kaprielian Pirani. The whole story is told in two languages in a simple child-appropriate text. A best-seller, now in its second-edition, the book is available from our St. Vartan Bookstore.
