HONOR THY MOTHER
Have you decided what your class will do for Mother's Day this year? Here is something they can do, for free, that will mean more than anything they could buy. Follow these simple guidelines to produce a gift that mothers will cherish more than diamonds or gold:
1. You'll need at least one hour for this project. Have students pick a spot where they won't be interrupted or distracted.
2. Have them take paper and something to write with. Also take a pen and attractive stationery to make a final copy.
3. Have students draft a letter to their mothers telling her why their time together has been so special.
4. Each participant should read and edit the first copy; then using his or her best handwriting, copy the letter onto attractive stationery.
