Bishop Houssig Bagdasian was born in May 1934. He was ordained on November 15, 1959.  He passed away on in July 2004.

He was the first American-born priest to be elevated and consecrated a bishop of the Armenian Church.  For 21 years he served the St. Mary Church of Livingston, New Jersey.
