Monday with Surpazan

Monday morning we had a special treat; the Archbishop had come to camp on Sunday night so we were able to have Badarak in the morning. That caused the first day of classes to be cut short but we didn't mind too much. Surpazan gave us all beautiful crosses after the Badarak service; hand made wooden crosses blessed in Armenia. The day was spent trying to get to know each other and learning the camp schedule. For evening program we had a discussion on “Carrying the Flame.” Everyone shared their individual goals on how to carry the flame. Overall, we had a very eventful first day.
