Religion, Armenian and Crafts

Dear Diary,
The day started with breakfast, followed by chapel and then classes. Our first class was religion. In class we learned about the Noble Vartan Mamigonian, who sacrificed himself in the war for his people. Our next class was arts and crafts. Here we had so much fun! We got to decorate a passage from the Bible. In our final class, heritage studies, we played a game of translation. The teacher said a word in either Armenian or English, and we would translate it to the other language. The boys beat the girls, 35-34.
Signed,
"The Murchoons" (the 8- to 10-year-old boys)
