New Britain Parish Gets Deacon-in-Charge

Dn. Mitchell Mouradjian, who this spring graduated from the program at St. Nersess Armenian Seminary, will assume the role of deacon-in-charge of the Church of the Holy Resurrection in New Britain, CT, effective July 1, 2003.

A longtime resident of Providence, R.I., Dn. Mouradjian will be stepping into a parish that has been without a spiritual leader since 2001.

Dn. Mouradjian received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1985 in economics and political science. For 15 years he worked in investment banking, before being ordained as a deacon in 1997.

He has served as pastoral assistant to the Church of our Savior in Worcester, Mass., and as a pastoral intern at St. Gregory the Enlightener in White Plains, N.Y.
